Dr. Joshua Phelps, chiropractor in Ogden, has been in private practice since 2009. He attended University of Nebraska -Omaha, studying Exercise Science. He was also in the graduate program in Exercise Physiology, specializing in Strength and Conditioning while at the University of Nebraska.
Since being in Utah he has continued his education from the Personal Injury Training Institute and earned the qualifications of Motor Vehicle Collision Occupant Injuries Certification (MVCOI). Dr. Josh is continuously working to increase his knowledge of how the body works and attends seminars regularly to find ways to help his patients reach their goals as quickly and efficiently as possible.
As a former strength and conditioning coach, competitive Olympic weight lifter, and very active athlete, Dr. Josh Phelps chiropractor in Ogden has experienced herniated discs and excruciating back pain himself. Like many of you, he got only slightly better utilizing traditional treatments – until he found the incredible benefits of chiropractic. Experiencing relief and healing through chiropractic treatments himself, Dr. Joshua Phelps decided to change course and pursue a career in chiropractic. He decided to enter chiropractic college and left Omaha to attend Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. Dr. Joshua Phelps practiced chiropractic in Montana and New Mexico before purchasing the practice in Ogden with Dr. Jenn.
He utilizes the Gonstead Method in his practice as well as torque release which is a light force technique and B.E.S.T. technique which is an energetic technique that focuses on updating emotions and thoughts as it pertains to your health. Dr. Josh’s main focus in the practice is sports injuries and increased performance, as well as disc and extremities injuries.
Dr. Jenn and Dr. Joshua Phelps teach their patients (a wide range of individuals from professional athletes, infants, and children, seniors and adults) how to get their bodies too functional and perform at its peak potential. Dr. Josh still enjoys being athletic in his off time. He enjoys working out with friends and coaching Olympic weight lifting at a local Crossfit. He enjoys spending time in the outdoors camping, riding his mountain bike, and skiing.
